Being chased by king Herod
I am writing after finally being able to get away from king Herod and his brutal men. We have been chased all the way to Egypt and do not know if we should start a new life here or go back to our home with our son. After we had given birth to Jesus, King Herod and his men ordered that all of the baby boy's in Bethlehem be killed. Just to get here we have spent countless nights without and sleep and have stay away from anyone who seemed they might be willing to give us up to the Roman's or king Herod for a reward. I worry for my newborn son and I pray to god that he will guide or family out of this and to safety.

I understand your troubles Mary. I too was harassed by King Herod after I tried to stop him from marrying his brother's wife. I was not so lucky as to get away from him, though. I am in prison now and my chances of living are very dim.
